We have had unseasonally cool temperatures here, but our last frost was sometime late March early April so my garden is going great guns. Normally this time of year highs in upper 80s-90 and begging for rain (in between pop-up ‘frog strangler’ rain from thunderstorms). Over the last two weeks there’s been at least a 1/4 to 1/2 inch shower almost every day.
@Pufferfishy
Very cool. That (Scandinavia) is on our bucket list… We were just recently looking at transatlantics coming back from Europe in the fall. Don’t think that’s going to happen this year but it will definitely be one of the trips we make at some point…
@chienfou We took a chance going in May as the weather can be (very) wet. But the upside being there’s WAY less people than during peak.
As it happened, we were amazingly fortunate. Sunny skies most of the time (including in Bergen, where it rains every other day - our guide has done this tour 17 times and this was only the second time he saw the sun)
Also, completely unbeknownst to us, we were in town for Norway’s “National Holiday”, and there was literally celebrations in the street and happy people everywhere.
I would offer a word of caution around prices, because they are outrageous (everywhere), but then I’m in Las Vegas this week and the cost of things here in the land of broken dreams is pretty much the same.
But we dined like royalty…
Spent alot of time in the hospital cause my best friend had open heart surgery. Then after 2 days after he had been discharged ended up in the ER due to an Atrial flutter, and his heart rate was up to 162 resting hes being released today after having his heart shocked back into normal rhythm.
Meh, of course.
The April showers were a month late this year and I just want it to stop so I can golf, ffs. Only got to go twice this month.
Cold. Getting a late start on the garden.
@tweezak what’s your 10-20? Hot as blazes in NM.
@tweezak I understand, the Mid Atlantic, was told the last frost is behind us in Mid May.

@tweezak But not cold enough to stop the frickin grass from growing so fast…
Mine was great - celebrated another Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary and got to trapse through the fjords of Norway and Sweden.
@Pufferfishy

Great! I spent the last third of the month in Italy, Montenegro, and Croatia. I planned this trip for almost two years and it was wonderful.
@cbatte That sounds like a great trip.
@Pufferfishy it was amazing
It’s June? What happened to May, and April?
@hchavers
I think both the other two sisters moved away…
